It's 10 o'clock. Do you know what your Congressman is doing?

This has been an historic week. On June 9th, Representative Dennis Kucinich stood for over five hours and read 35 Articles of Impeachment against George Bush. He listed item by item the many lies and crimes and atrocities commited by Bush and his cronies. He dared to say what we have known in our hearts and minds for years; Bush is a war criminal and he is guilty of crimes against humanity and he should be removed from office.

This brave American, Dennis Kucinich, has risked everything to bring this matter to the attention of our nation. This patriot has put his political future on the line, he has allowed himself to be the object of scorn and derision and he may even have put his personal safety at risk.

And yet, days later, it is entirely possible that you may not even be aware of any this. Mainstream media has once again lined up to squelch the news and tell us only what they think we should know. Coverage of this event has been minimal. This news should be the lead story in every newspaper and television news broadcast. There should be special news reports examining and documenting each point of Kucinich's statement.

The silence is deafening. If you really search you can turn up the odd piece here and there. Many of them comdemn Kucinich for being a crackpot. One wise guy had the nerve to chastise him for his 'boring' delivery. Others complain that it is too late in the Bush administration for this and that Congress has more important things to do. ( When I tuned into C-span the other day to see if they were debating the impeachment I found that they were taking a vote to commemorate the 100th anniversary of some obscure credit union)
